DOWNTOWN — More than 60,000 Chicago Bears fans will receive fake mustaches Thursday night in honor of Mike Ditka, the legendary coach and player who died earlier this month. In addition to paying homage to Da Coach s well-known stache, the team is giving the first 10,000 fans at Soldier Field a knit headband inspired by his trademark sweater ahead of the 7:15 p.m. game against the New England Patriots — the same team Ditka’s 1985 Bears defeated 46-10 in Super Bowl XX. The Bears are honoring Ditka, who died Oct. 9 at age 86, throughout Thursday’s game. The team will wear No. 89 jersey patches for the rest of the season in honor of the Hall of Fame tight end, who later coached the bears to their only Super Bowl championship. Thursday’s pregame festivities will include a moment of silence for Ditka, a tribute stencil on the field and a display of memorabilia from the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Soldier Field’s south courtyard. It’s the Bears’ first home game since Ditka’s death
